A Happy Place: The Bridal Boutique

When you think of a Happy Place I think most of us would instantly be whisked on a cerebral journey to Disneyland.  True?  Itʻs amazing how Mickey and his friends have coined that thought of their crib to be the most happiest place on earth!

Well, thoughts of Winnie the Pooh,  "Itʻs a Small World," and owning my own pair of mouse ears embroidered with my name on it do make me jubilant however, there are many other places in my heart that make me happy. One of them just happens to be The Bridal Boutique of Honolulu.

The marvelous owners, Cecilia Domingo and Joyce Coelho, do make that place magical. Yes, they have pretty dresses and a classy environment to try on the pretty dresses however, itʻs really the professionalism, knowledge and CARE that these two women provide to their clients that make the Bridal Boutique a happy place for me!

I did something today that Iʻve been waiting to do since the day she was born - take my eldest niece to look for her Junior Prom dress.  My first and only place that came to mind was, The Bridal Boutique!  (Don't be fooled by the "Bridal" in their company name. Cecilia and Joyce also provide prom dresses and tuxes!)

As I sat there on the comfy lounge furniture I observed the other patrons that were there. Brides, moms, little girls, young women....all so happy and misty eyed! 

I actually felt what one mother was feeling as she watched her daughter try on a possible wedding gown. As I observed quietly from a distance, I  teared in sheer delight for her and her daughter and not to mention also her future husband (who was not present) and for all those who would see her on that special day.  

Without them realizing it, I feel the Bridal Boutique is a Happy Place for the women and young girls who are trying one or several of the Boutiqueʻs alluring dresses. Transforming them from "girl off the street" to "beautiful princess!"  Or perhaps,  joy envelopes you as the enchanted audience!

Today I was the latter...

I am so appreciative of knowing Joyce and Cecilia. Not only for their expertise on picking out the perfect dress and accessories but more importantly for their commitment to providing personalized service backed by kindness, compassion and an absolute love for their clients and genuine assistance in helping them to be as beautiful as they can be.

Yes, today, I went to a Happy Place with a niece who was so happy to find her prefect prom dress which made her Flutter Butter Auntieʻs heart flutter with happiness!!! 

New Moon Brings New Beginnings!

I started my busy day by pulling from my beautiful Goddess Guidance Cards and look who is going to be with me today:

Itʻs so perfect! And what makes it even more perfect is that today is the New Moon which is depicted in Kaliʻs card!!!

THANK YOU, Kali, for the reminder of the old needing to be released to make room for the new!!! Hereʻs to more decluttering and organizing!!!

Kupu and her Crystal Singing Bowls

This morning I had the great pleasure of hanging with my dear friend, Emma "Kupu" Mitchell of Healing Hale.  She introduced me to her beautiful Crystal Singing Bowls.

OMG! The incredible soothing sounds that came from these gorgeous crystal pieces was something I had never experienced! I do have a special Tibetan Bowl which I sound from time to time to clear energy or helps me to meditate. But the sounds of these particular Crystal Tones Bowls was quite different.

They each sang with such delight and pleasure that the trees, wind chimes, birds and Mother Nature herself responded back to them. Wow!!!

I love discovering people and things that are helping to awaken all of my senses! These special healing workers with their extraordinary tools to assist all of us in our own transformation, transition and healing. 

MAHALO NUI LOA, Kupu, for doing what youʻre doing to "restore Wellness on all levels!!!"  I look forward to another melodic, clearing time with you and your treasured Crystal Tone Bowls!!!

 

NOT a Manic Monday!

OMG! It's 2pm in the afternoon on this glorious island Monday and I just realized that I've had my shirt on backwards since I woke up!!!

My discovery caused me to chuckle to myself as I know that the reason why I had my shirt on backwards was because I was sooooo excited to start my day!  This was certainly a really great reminder of how gratefully most of my days start out with this unbridled excitement. To the point where I'm putting on my daily attire backwards!

Maintenance

I love my Honda Element. She is such a wonderful vehicle! Reliable, roomy, comfy, strong and fun!

But even with all these great attributes, she needs care to keep up all these good qualities she shares.

Whatʻs great is that she lets me know when itʻs time for her maintenance and check up. I noticed her Service Light had come on a few weeks ago but alas, due to my busy schedule sheʻs now 288 miles overdue!! 

This is unlike me to wait so long to get her serviced. This also got me thinking about ourselves...

Our bodies, which are vehicles for our spirits! How long do we ignore the signs that our bodies give us that itʻs time for our own "service and maintenance," right?

We need to pay attention to the foods we eat. We wouldnʻt put crappy or the wrong kinds of gas in our cars.  We need to care for any aches and pains that we experience.  We need to keep ourselves strong so we can keep moving forward happily through life.  When our bodies are in check, our spirits are happier. It all works hand in hand. Our bodies are so important because withOUT it we cannot do anything!!!

So take the time to Maintain yourself.  Give yourself permission to have a manicure and pedicure, workout, eat healthy foods, soak in a saltwater bath, get a massage, go in for a check-up, rest, play or just relax....

Keep an eye on your Service light and pay attention to it.  You only have ONE vehicle for your beautiful spirit!

Keep the Flow

As it rained today and  a hard rain it was, I noticed the flow of the water from the rooftop into the gutter.

It was  so reassuring to know that this water was flowing off the rooftop into the gutter and out the gutter opening at the base of my home. 

Fortunately, the gutter was cleaned out before the big rain came. Cleaned out of all the leaves and debris that tends to work its way into these metal troughs.  

Watching all of this reminded me of how we too, need to make sure to maintain and clean out our own personal rain gutters in life so that life itself and the good energy flows.  Remove all the unwanted debris and blockages. You donʻt need them. They certainly donʻt serve you in any way.

Keep those gutters clean so thereʻs constant flow in your life. And sometimes that usually means you getting out of the way of YOU.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Country and Rock-n-Roll!

You know, I am super blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people in my life. Each and everyone of them are so special to me and so different!

Here is a great example of how different my friends and I are: 

The feet you see here are mine and my Feng Shui Sister, Kimi.  You can clearly tell from the choice of our feet wear what our personalities are like! 

Kimi has always been fashionable, stylish and on top of that smart, brilliant and super duper funny!  Hence the cool sexy boots!

Then there's the Frodo feet (which Fred DeAngelo has lovingly called them) which obviously suggests someone who's Treefrog like toes would choose comfort over style. 

That's me and Kimi.  Different and yet the same. 

I'm a little bit Country and she's a little bit Rock-n-Roll!

And what we have in common is more important than "who's got the better pair of shoes" or "who's desk is more organized and clutter-free"  or "who finished their homework on time and didn't wait til' the midnight hour to get it done!"  Nooo, it's much greater than that.

We both are akin to living, experiencing and celebrating life in all ways of heart, mind, body and spirit.  

We both choose to be the masters of our own lives by using the Universal Laws and Divine Support System to guide us.

By using our skills, talents and passion we both love to help our friends and our family be the best that they can be!!!

These are the types of loved ones I CHOOSE to surround myself with!  

Remember, you too can choose who you want to align yourself with.  Choose friends and family who will love and support you unconditionally.   You deserve the best and should only have the best in your life! 

Drive with ALOHA!!!

Only in Hawai'i will you find a very special sign like this on our highways.  No where else in the WORLD would you have signage reminding us to be mindful of living ALOHA especially when we're driving!

Hollah, 2011!!!

Hau'oli Makahiki Hou and Welcome to Flutter Butter's site and inaugural post!!!

This 2011, marks a new time for me to pursue one of my true heart's desire which is to dedicate an entire blog to share my inspiring moments with all of you in hopes that it will bring you as much joy & enlightenment that it has brought me. 

Why "Flutter Butter" you ask? Well, first of all it's fun to say! Say it about five times...doesn't it just make you smile?  It makes me smile and want to do a little jig!

The word "flutter" reminds me of what happens to my heart when I am happy, feeling loved or just experiencing some really good ju-ju. It also reminds me of a beautiful carefree butterfly fluttering and dancing in the air.  

Which brings me to...

The word "butter" reminds me again of the butterfly I just mentioned!  

The butterfly who shares with us it's magnificent life cycle from egg to larva to chrysalis to beautiful insect with colorful wings happily soaring to and fro .  It reminds me of changes that we go through in life....TRANSFORMATION!!!

And of course the word "butter" also means the obvious...a highly concentrated form of milk.  And let's face it! Everyone loves butter!!!

I've been wanting to start this blog for over a year now and here it is! I'm so excited to share this journey with all of you.

Iʻd also like to send a shout out to my friend and wedding professional colleague, Marino of Ninja Entertainment. Marino, you posted a comment back on November 6, 2010 that assisted in solidifying my certainty with Flutter Butter.  

Little do you know that I just had a conversation with another dear friend who was encouraging me to start Flutter Butter. When I opened up my Facebook there was your lovely comment.  Thank you, my friend! Youʻre such an inspiration and loving light to those you meet. Please continue to live your true self.  Youʻre pretty darn awesome!!!

We are all just beings transforming. Let's happily soar and dance together in the wonders and miracles of life, shall we?  I think we're going to have a lot of fun!!!
